As part of the Strategy & Operations (S&O) team, you’ll help our clients create their future business, operational, and technology strategies. Position Summary:

Our MBA Associates join us from a wide range of backgrounds and make an immediate impact working as part of a team committed to developing creative solutions and achieving tangible results. Our work spans a diverse range of approaches that include organizational design, financial modeling, academic portfolio analysis, process analysis, constituent research/engagement, technology transformation planning, and strategic planning.

As an MBA Associate, you’ll work across a wide range of Higher Education clients—from small colleges to major research institutions. Our work is team driven, and we are often bringing together capabilities from across projects and practices. In addition to client work, you’ll also get a chance to participate in various community and culture building initiatives and programs beginning day one.

We provide significant training opportunities to gain depth of understanding in the higher education sector and to build critical consulting skills. As part of Huron’s Higher Education S&O practice, you’ll be at the forefront of helping institutions across the higher education industry navigate the challenges of today, positioning clients to own the opportunities of tomorrow. You will play an integral role in helping our clients innovate for success and better serve their students, staff, and communities.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Manage assigned project analysis, deliverables, and related logistics with guidance from project managers and leadership

  • Conduct interviews, focus groups, and leverage other stakeholder engagement methods to gather qualitative data

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, targets, or other metrics to inform client deliverables

  • Develop and deliver client presentations, portraying complex problems and analyses in a succinct and understandable narrative

  • Collaborate with team members throughout the course of a project, including potential oversight and mentorship of project analysts

  • Engage with colleagues across the practice to develop innovative and industry-leading methodologies that better serve our clients

Qualifications:

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree and MBA required

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience with increasing responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement solutions

  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment and manage through ambiguity

  • High degree of emotional maturity and demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive team

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams

  • Advanced or highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products (e.g. Microsoft Visio and Outlook)

  • Willingness to travel as needed based on client assignments

  • U.S. work authorization required’
