Nickelodeon’s Communications department oversees publicity efforts for ViacomCBS Kids & Family channels, platforms and studios! We manage and execute publicity campaigns for preschool, animation, and live-action content, garnering national and local press—spanning broadcast, radio, print and digital—for series launches, specials and live tentpole events such as Kids’ Choice Awards. We also oversee press for off-channel brand initiatives, including consumer products, corporate, recreation, public affairs, location-based experiences, and more!


  • Distribute press releases via Business Wire and to key contact lists via email

  • Compile press coverage and clips (broadcast/radio using Critical Mention, print and online) to send out internally

  • Assemble media impressions grid of outlet coverage using ComScore and Critical Mention

  • Maintain master, specialized and targeted media lists for the department

  • Maintain Nick Press website with show artwork, screeners and releases, as well as approve journalist access to downloadable assets

  • Help with the overall publicity efforts across Nick, which includes assistance with in-house events including junkets, showcases, internal presentations and external voice records, as well as on the ground at tentpole events like Kids' Choice Awards, SlimeFest, Kids' Choice Sports, etc.

  • Cover SMTs and other press opportunities for series launches, maintaining good relationships with reporters

  • Distribute programming schedules and highlights for Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., TeenNick and Nicktoons to listings agencies, acting as the liaison between the programming department and service providers, providing photos/logos, credits, talent information and episodic descriptions

  • Pitch highlights and seasonal programming to dailies, weeklies and online media for inclusion

  • Book talents' flights, hotel, transportation etc., updating and maintaining press week itineraries booking and allotting time for talent schooling and hair and makeup

  • Pitch, secure and cover talent, creator and executive interviews with various media outlets

  • Write press releases, media alerts, talking points and bios for key corporate events and content announcements

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 1-2 years of experience in media and entertainment (strong internship experience considered)

Additional qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent attention to detail
