The New School Coordinator for Enrollment Services, Continuing and Professional Education in New York, New York

In addition to more than 120 programs for degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students, the university offers continuing education programs for adults, pre-college, and school-age children through Continuing and Professional Education ( CPE ). Part of the mission of the university Marketing & Communication department (M&C) is elevating visibility of these groundbreaking programs, expanding access while helping the university achieve its enrollment and revenue goals.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Enrollment Services, Continuing and Professional Education, the Coordinator, Enrollment Services supports students from initial inquiry through conversion, providing the highest level of customer service and engagement. The Coordinator will interact with a variety of audiences (youth, their parents, adult learners, educators) on a wide array of programs, as well as with external vendors supporting recruitment activities and colleagues both within CPE and across the university.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent CPE to all targeted student populations including adult professionals, youth, and parents, both on- and off-campus

  • Maintain knowledge of all current programs and open enrollment study options

  • Serve as primary contact for inquiries via multiple communication channels providing thorough, accurate, and timely responses to prospective students and families

  • Maintain telephone and electronic contact and initiate correspondence with prospective students, including appropriate and consistent follow-up, in coordination with external vendor partner(s) for contracted programs

  • Assist students through all aspects of the enrollment process

  • Support and assist in the implementation of the various recruitment initiatives as set forth by the Senior Manager, Enrollment Services

  • Provide feedback and suggestions to CPE program and marketing directors on potential new opportunities and interest areas driven by observed market demand and trends

  • Report issues with website and registration functionality to the marketing and academic operations teams within CPE for prompt resolution

  • Leverage internal and vendor partner(s) CRM systems to maintain accurate records of students’ interactions

  • Assist with open houses, webinars, and information sessions for prospective students; evening and weekend hours are required for seasonal recruitment and outreach events.

  • Liaise with Student Welcome Center, Admissions, and the Registrar’s office as needed

  • Train and supervise enrollment services student workers

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Two years professional administrative experience in a busy office setting, preferably in higher education or related field

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and follow up skills

  • Patient and professional demeanor; familiarity working with varied and diverse populations

  • Multitasker with ability to work in a fast-paced and adaptive environment both independently and as directed within a team

  • High level of computer proficiency in G Suite and MS Office programs; ability to learn new technology quickly

  • Able to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment.

  • Available to work evening and weekend hours

  • Appreciation for arts, culture and higher learning

  • Ability to adhere to University COVID -19 Policy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Call center, customer service, and/or consultative sales experience

  • Experience with Salesforce, Hubspot, Active Campaign or other CRM systems

  • Experience with student information/registration systems
