Role Purpose

The Corporate Social Responsibility team drives NBCU’s social purpose of creating equity and access in society, our industry, and within our own company. We support this mission through philanthropic giving, volunteerism, storytelling, and empowering the next generation of content creators from diverse backgrounds. ​

The Coordinator of Partnerships & Engagement will help to power our social impact efforts. Key projects will include supporting event planning and logistics for volunteer projects locally in New York and virtually as well as our tentpole events, Volunteer Month (April) and Season of Service (December). The Coordinator will provide administrative support for social impact initiatives including our Matching Gift Program, the Local Impact Grant Program and annual sponsorship renewals, and volunteer data collection. Through this role, you will learn to create engaging experiences that connect employees to meaningful, impactful service projects.

Job Duties

  • Support logistics for in-person and virtual volunteer experiences including overseeing inbound & outbound shipments, catering, printing, security access, vendor coordination, purchasing and organizing event supplies, and technology support. Collaborate with event leads to design and execute engaging volunteer events

  • Support administrative tasks behind volunteer and giving programs, including coordinating the application & review process for our annual Local Impact Grants program, tracking volunteer data, reviewing organization eligibility for our Matching Gift Program, and drafting sponsorship agreements for nonprofit partners using a template

  • Design volunteer recruiting emails, instruction sheets for volunteer projects, ad hoc presentations and event handouts

  • Support relationship management with internal teams, nonprofit partners, and employee volunteers

  • Contribute ideas to ensure our employee and student-facing programs are engaging, innovative, and meet our social impact goals

Basic Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant professional experience in corporate social responsibility, diversity equity & inclusion, human resources, event and program management, or related fields

  • Demonstrated passion for corporate social responsibility, community engagement, and making positive social impact.

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) or equivalent systems. Experience creating visual presentations using software tools such as PowerPoint, Canva or Prezi.

  • Strong communication – able to communicate with stakeholders from student to executive, influence groups to participate in volunteer programs, and demonstrate ROI of key programs

     

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
