RWS Entertainment Group Coordinator, Payroll in New York, New York
RWS Entertainment Group is currently seeking a Coordinator, Payroll to support the Finance department. Reporting to the AVP, Finance, this role will be responsible for processing payroll for all seasonal employees across the organization with support of the Finance department.
Coordinator, Payroll should be detail -oriented, quantitative thinker who is adept at noticing errors, must be able to multi-task and prioritize as well as remain highly organized. The payroll administrator will be in charge of the payroll of about 300 performers on a biweekly basis.
Role & Responsibilities
Process biweekly payroll for approximate 300 performers and/or seasonal employees likely to be servicing different projects or clients.
Respond to all payroll related inquires.
Import biweekly payroll data into our AP software
Onboard performers and/or seasonal employees on the appropriate payroll system.
Collaborating with Human Resources to maintain employee documentation and data.
Resolving employee issues with timesheets, payment, and other payroll matters.
Assist in the timely and accurate flow of information in/out of the department to all internal and external players.
Provide general administrative support as requested.
Act as a point of contact for seasonal employee or staff inquiries/questions regarding the contracting process.
Assist with the department’s monthly Amex reconciliation.
Other duties as reasonably assigned.

Four-year degree in finance, accounting, or a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum of 1-2 years of payroll experience, experience working with a high volume of seasonal employees preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication ability
Ability to work independently on a variety of projects while working toward team and individual goals.
Knowledge in using an analytical approach to breaking payroll
Microsoft Office 365 Skills
Proficient knowledge and utilization of payroll database system.
Familiarity with all aspects of processing payroll: invoice, batch, timecards and reports, timecard verification, payroll history, cast list, gross wages, per diem, housing deposits, et.
Flexibility to shift priorities as needed to service the department needs
Understanding of and commitment to maintaining current knowledge of industry trends, concepts, products, practices and financial arrangement
A valid passport for the duration of employment for all travel-related roles. Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (or proof of exemption) will be required.

Mobile (in NY/NJ/CT Metro Area): Team members who are pre-approved to regularly perform their job responsibilities remotely up to two (2) days per week, with three (3) days per week operating out of the RWS New York City headquarters.
Salary : Minimum $58,500 annual exempt salary
