Citigroup CSIS Program Officer - C12 in New York, New York

The CSIS Program Officer is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the project management program. This role will tap into your subject matter expertise in systems and technology, application deployment, technology support, and project management participation. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within project management function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • This role will manage the technology portion of project management program related to technology, support, commissioning, reporting, training, and risk and control management

  • This job will drive results and accountability across all levels of the global team, while encouraging high standards and emphasizing the importance of continuous improvement

  • This role will provide support to the Project Management Program and be responsible for tasks related to the execution of internal program processes, management and the implementation of frequent reporting to program stakeholders.

  • Execute the day-to-day operations of the global program and will administrate task that support the design and implementation of systems and processes to ensure the global program processes are executed

  • Deliver results on tasks related to projects involving multiple teams and resources across the firm

  • Work in conjunction with stakeholders and manager to define business/project requirements

  • Problem-solve and implement solutions, under the direction of others, to current processes and systems

  • Establish and maintain high-level relationships with functional, regional and business core functions partners.

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience

  • Deep subject matter expertise or technical experience in the program supported

  • Experience in operations areas: technology, network, and project management.

  • Experience in participating in application and systems deployment from inception to completion (DEV & UAT testing, and PROD deployment)

  • Demonstrated a good working knowledge of physical security and video systems and an understanding of network design and technology (LAN, VLAN, etc..)

  • Demonstrated understanding of risk management and innovatively develops solutions and makes suggestions to senior management to mitigate risks through projects and technology

  • Experience in working with virtual global teams within a matrix organization

  • Have led and influenced people across an organization using sound judgment, successful execution of strategies; and with an understanding of how to operate effectively across diverse businesses/resources

  • Experience participating in technical projects through the complete project lifecycle: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Closing.

  • Relevant certifications related to areas supported desired

  • Previous work experience in a financial services or consulting organization

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge in the use and support of Access Control Systems and Video Surveillance Systems.

  • Knowledge of the use of project management tools (i.e. JIRA, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, etc.)

  • Good facility with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Ability to team lead technology projects that have global, regional, or facility consequences.

  • An understanding of Security operations, processes and controls

  • Excellent communication, personal and leadership skills

  • Excellent data evaluation skills to review technology project results and provide reports of outcomes

  • Ability to think quickly and make informed decisions

  • Handles conflict effectively, by overcoming differences of opinion and finding common ground

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$88,400.00 - $132,600.00
