The RoleThe Cook Supervisor position will report to the Concessions Chef and will be responsible to coordinate the day to day operations of the Concessions kitchens.Company Overview:Legends is a holistic agency that specializes in delivering solutions for legendary brands. The Venue

Legends Hospitality is proud to partner with Circle Line Cruises, New York’s oldest provider of chartered sightseeing cruises, in delivering a premium hospitality experience to guests. In addition to daily cruises on six sailing vessels throughout the city, Circle Line hosts various special events cruises including a New Year’s Eve and Fourth of July celebration in addition to charters for private parties and events.

Responsibilities::The Culinary Supervisor position will report to the Concessions Chef and will be responsible to coordinate the day to day operations of the Concessions kitchens.

  • Assist in staffing, scheduling, training, and counseling of kitchen staff

  • Maintain and control high volume food inventory

  • Enforce standards for service, sanitation, and product and food quality

  • Work with the management team to help develop menu ideas and adjust menu to the needs of potential customers

  • Ability to interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures

  • Maintain an appropriate amount of inventory on hand

Qualifications:

  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary training preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and extremely organized with elevated time management and prioritizing skills.

  • Must meet state and city health requirements for food handling and alcoholic beverage service.

  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced, team orientated setting.

  • Must be able to work fluently in English

  • Ability to work in an open aired environment during all climate conditions.

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds up and down stairs/ramps/gangways

  • Ability to work all major events, including: extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including: constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to work on boats for extended periods of time

  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job specific safety training
