DESCRIPTION:
The Customer Engineer Intern for the Ricoh Education team will work onsite full-time at our customer sites which are K-12 schools. This individual is responsible for working closely with clients and cross functional support teams to manage and maintain the technology used by these customers. This this a full-time summer position lasting 12 weeks during the summer months and will involve using both technology and business skills in support of our client’s environment. The position requires technical workstation knowledge, and basic management of both Microsoft Windows, Apple OSX, and/or Google Chrome operating systems, basic network administration and troubleshooting skills. Interns will possess attention to detail, business intuition, excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to professionally conduct oneself to all levels of the corporate structure.
* This position will require travel to different area customer locations. Adequate transportation is a requirement, travel will not be reimbursed *
* Interns will be provided with a Ricoh laptop during the internship to access Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, and the internet. *
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Windows 10 workstation setup, configuration, and troubleshooting. Google Chromebook setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Workstation quality assurance check, management, and inventory.
Management of cabling infrastructure and relocation/unboxing of hardware.Technical documentation of floor plans and network diagrams.Network troubleshooting including but not limited to basic networking protocols such as: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and WiFi.

Business hours schedule
Up to 40 Hours a week typically, depending on work load
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
Working towards – B.S. or M.S. degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred
Student must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Students are to successfully complete all required screenings prior to hire
