The AXIS Cyber Training and Advisory team is part of the Global Cyber and Technology (GCT) division and offers and array of services to the AXIS underwriting teams, exposure management, insureds, brokers, and clients. The team is responsible for leading on strategic risk management initiatives which support exposure management and underwriting product development. The team provides mentorship, and advises and delivers all internal cybersecurity and cyber insurance training to underwriting teams – including the procurement of outsourced training; the growth of broker education, training and events; growing out the third party and internally engineered cyber risk management services. This encompasses risk assessment, onboarding clients, crisis simulation tabletop exercises, and incident response vendor management.
The AXIS Cyber Training and Advisory team will also be at the forefront of content creation and research and will be required to take part and lead on various research projects to improve our understanding of the expanding areas of cyber risk.
Duties and Responsibilities
AXIS is considered one of the most established markets in offering cyber insurance solutions globally. We have become a ‘go to’ player in solving complex problems. Our team of cyber risk advisors, work with our clients and brokers to build effective insurance products and wrap around services. This role will include being involved in the following:
Delivering training and education of our current curriculum and improving/innovating it to fit the expanding risk landscape. This will include design, delivery, and accreditation of new initiatives at strategic and tactical levels.
Creating market leading thought leadership content and presenting team ideas at events, workshops and forums.
Lead research projects, including partnerships with prestigious academia.
Support data driven projects to help the GCT shape its view of cyber risk and communicate that with various internal and external stakeholder groups.
Build a suite of third party and internally developed risk management services.
Assist in the sourcing and the roll out of cutting edge digital cloud-based solutions, promoting uptake and good cyber hygiene across the portfolio.
Work closely with the exposure management group with the creation and testing of disaster scenarios, systemic loss events and quantification of cyber risk exposures
Participate in team problem solving and offer ideas for new products and services.
Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports relating to cyber risk management.
Maintain a high level of expertise in cyber risk management and actively expand knowledge and consulting skills. You will be a ‘go to’ person for the team and brokers for advice
Skills and Experience
Ideally possess a university degree in Security and Risk Management or Cyber Security or extensive experience in the cyber insurance or cybersecurity industry.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security/cyber insurance in an advisory capacity
Must possess excellent presentation, written & verbal communication skills
Strong demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following Cyber Security areas:
Cyber risk management
Information privacy and protection
Cyber crisis management, business resilience and recovery
