Our Digital Infrastructure network group, within the Technology Consulting and Cyber practice is rapidly growing, including with a focus on design and launch.
Our Technology professionals support clients on their most critical infrastructure projects, including helping organizations design next generation networks, architect state of the service offerings, and enhance system resilience for our clients' mission critical systems. Increasingly we support clients making transformative investments. We are looking for professionals who can independently manage diverse teams to successfully deliver complex, strategic projects, guide clients through transformational journeys, and collaborate well with colleagues of all ranks.
Your key responsibilities
As a "Senior Manager" in Technology Consulting, we expect you to have a strong technical foundation to deliver digital infrastructure projects combined with experience in selling technical solutions through professional services and consulting engagements to address complex problems. Your key responsibilities will include:
Technical knowledge - Providing subject matter expertise in at least one of the following focus areas with enough hands-on work experience to be able to deploy and guide multiple consulting teams concurrently on clients’ engagements, and preferably the diverse knowledge needed to be able to handle larger engagements that span multiple disciplines related to:
Technical network design, deployment, validation, and operations of ISP or carrier, PMO/TMO of network or network service launch.
CCIE/CCNE for service providers or similar preferred (e.g. Juniper, Nokia, Ericsson), and/or
Network engineering, network operations, and network/service launch PMO.
Service Delivery Management - Effectively handle large teams executing mission critical projects. Responsibilities include managing communications with senior client leaders and delivering services as per contractual agreements. You will also be responsible for continuous improvement of our service delivery templates and work products in your area of expertise by engaging the practice team to review and enhance work products from various engagements.
Client Relationship Management - Maintain relationships with key sponsors and executives within client organizations and effectively leverage EY leadership and account teams to integrate other EY service lines to improve value of services delivered to the client.
New business development – Lead key pursuits and work with account teams to expand business in existing accounts.
Practice Development - Provide thought leadership in developing white papers and point-of-views in areas of expertise.

To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree, preferably in engineering / technology and business.
About 10 or more years of experience in one or more of the following:
Technical network design, deployment, validation, and operations of ISP or carrier, PMO/TMO of network or network service launch,
CCIE/CCNE, CompTIA Network+ for service providers or similar preferred (e.g. Juniper, Nokia, Ericsson).
Network engineering, network operations, and network/service launch PMO.
Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance
We would expect for you to be available to travel outside of your assigned office location as necessary to meet client needs.
In-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge across the network architecture and engineering function, including legacy IP network architectures and the associated systems (DNS, DHCP, etc) and protocols (IPv4/v6, ARP, TCP/UDP, BGP, SCTP, etc.)
Experience with Cloud networking and associated connectivity for IP, vlan, vxlan, and associated virtualization technologies smartNIC, DPU/GPU, etc.
Experience architecting and deploying software-defined networks and virtualized network functions in a carrier-grade network (SD-WAN, SDN, cloud-router, and/or NFV-based S/Gi-LAN/N6 interface in 4G/5G mobile networks.
Ideally, you’ll have
Deep knowledge in network engineering, network construction, network service activation/provisioning, network rating/billing, and/or network service assurance
Approximately 2-3 years of recent consulting experience at a large / Big Four consulting firm, organizations such as Samsung/Nokia/Ericsson, and/or experience in working in a capacity of chief architect or other technical /leader role to build or implement technical infrastructure.
Refined executive presentation skills focused on driving business outcomes
Experience and demonstratable results in professional services sales including developing and presenting large proposals, writing SOWs for client contracts and having a strong understanding of revenue generation, margin management, and resource levelling for professional services engagements.
Experience in dealing with client issues and solving them by drawing up solution scenarios that are supported with cost estimates, timelines, and action plans to resolve the situation.
Experience in speaking roles at prominent public forums or holding roles within standards organizations such as IEEE, ETSI, 3GPP, TM Forum, etc.
