The Specialized Analytics Sr Anlst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Incumbents work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies
Identifies and compiles data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business drivers to business outcomes
Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis; which may include utilizing statistical models / algorithms and data visualization techniques
Incumbents in this role may often be referred to as Data Scientists
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Develop, maintain and improve industry leading targeting and behavioral models that deliver business results that meet and exceed our goals.
Continuously improve modeling and strategies by exploring and evaluating new machine learning methods, data sources, tools, capabilities and processes.
Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving models and strategies
Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders all findings
5-8 years of experience in a quantitative field
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong programming skills in Python and SAS
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, flexible and adaptive to matrix work environment
Ability to build partnerships with cross-functional teams
Expertise in Machine Learning modeling
Willing to learn and can-do attitude
Graduate level degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Operation Research, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Artificial Intelligence or other quantitative related field is preferred
- Bachelors/University degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, operational research, economics or computer science
