Your role at Clorox:

As part of the growing DTC Data Science & Analytics Team, reporting to our Data Engineering lead, the Data Engineer will help design the data architecture and build data integration systems that can process data at scale. Responsibilities include building data models, developing database & data

warehouse objects, and designing, building, and monitoring data pipelines. The Data Engineer is empowered to implement processes and standards, participate in discussions to determine the best designs, and implement those designs as needed.

Data collection, storage, accessibility and governance are core to the direct-to-consumer strategy, both within the DTC group and across the broader Clorox ecosystem. A solid data foundation empowers business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to build insights and tools that ensure we constantly to evolve our product and marketing offerings to be more personalized and relevant to our customers. Your role is critical to our ability to deliver on that objective.

In this role, you will:

  • Design & develop data pipelines using Airflow.

  • Develop database schemas, tables, & views.

  • Monitor and maintain ETL processes and data integration pipelines.

  • Troubleshoot & resolve inconsistencies in data e.g. duplicates, missing data, etc.

  • Design and update relational and dimensional data models.

What we look for:

Minimum of 4 years of experience:

  • 2+ years of experience using Python for data handling & transportation

  • 2+ years of SQL & database development experience

  • Airflow experience required

  • Experience with ETL & data pipelines as well as Amazon Web Services (EC2, RDS, S3) or other cloud technologies

  • Exposure to data warehouses, NoSQL databases, and JSON SQL coding & development skills (DDL, DML, Views, Triggers, Functions)

  • Relational data modeling (Entity Integrity, Referential Integrity, One-to-One relationships, One-to-Many relationships) Snowflake data warehouse experience preferred

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $84,500 - $158,000

–Zone B: $77,500 - $144,800

–Zone C: $70,400 - $131,700

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
