Chobani Demand Planner (New York, NY) in New York, New York

Summary

At Chobani, our Demand Planner is an expert on the platforms they oversee and the owner of the Demand Planning requirements process for those platforms.  It is a very hands-on position responsible for developing and executing Demand Plans that will enable the Master Scheduler to meet sales and service objectives.  Cross-functional collaboration with supply chain, sales, logistics and customer service is necessary in order to achieve the sales and service goals.  

Responsibilities

Designing and generating weekly and monthly statistical forecasts Continuously improving forecasting techniques, method, and approach Relating and measuring the impact of forecast accuracy Evolving and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems Conduct current and future forecasting analysis, insuring forecasting processes and methods are followed Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, POS and eventually customer inventory levels) Establish and utilize best methods (statistical models and software/tools) in creating forecasts  Make recommended adjustments to forecast based on changes in demand and market trends Lead weekly forecast meetings with Sales Planning and Sales Managers to discuss and review recommended sales forecasts (emphasis on changing distribution, new product introduction, and promotions) Prepare & provide updates and recommendations for monthly Consensus Forecasting meetings (Forecast accuracy, BIAS, trending actuals, demand plan) Prepare, report, and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to management (forecast accuracy) Monitor forecast levels and recommend SKU rationalization initiatives in the future

Requirements

B.A. or B.S. in Supply Chain Management or related degree  Minimum 3 years of experience in Demand Planning in CPG company  3+ years of experience with statistical forecasting techniques Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication Must be detail oriented, self-starter and comfortable taking initiative, as well as capable of producing high quality results on a sustainable basis Demonstrates ability to effectively influence both internal and external customers/relationships Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to organize work and manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines Excellent customer service / support skills, ability to work well under pressure, professional demeanor and strong written and oral communication skills Advanced skillset with MS Excel
