We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Demand Planner-Supply Chain.
In this role, the successful candidate partner with cross functional teams to identify key products and recommend buys based on supply availability, demands, expiration, cost, quality, and size. Identify variation in current trends vs historical (i.e. 2 new clinicians X area or flu season). Works with distributor and sourcing to determine buy strategy and recommendations. Collaborate with Director of Inventory to strike right balance of inventory on hand.
Proactively identify issues/interruptions on the horizon and call meetings with a cross functional team to develop a plan on how to address each one. Ensure uninterrupted supply of all materials used across the hospitals, including interdependencies, for example, understanding how new products may influence demand for other products.
Use historical data to create supply chain forecasts with advanced statistical algorithms. Determines the accuracy of each model, identify outliers and exclusions, and understand assumptions. Where variation occurs, works to determine and account for root cause.
Proactively report on potential backorders for each applicable area within supply chain. Communicates issue and plan for key risks to upper management.
Collaborate with Sourcing, Data, and Value Analysis to locate source of supplies when contracted suppliers are unable to meet demands.
Ensure each department gets the information they need to execute their required tasks and that the tasks are completed. Builds connections across departments to facilitate effective and efficient communication.
Create, maintain, and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Execute special projects as needed. Able to flex with the needs of the business and able to jump in to support various departments as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Strong analytical background.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to upper management teams.
Experience in leading projects, problem solving, and a strong history of working with cross-functional partners.
Strong customer service experience; sense of customer focus, urgency, and high level of accountability.
Experience with supplier/end user relations and supply chain management technologies.
Demonstrated history of creating and maintaining KPIs; experience in service tracking and forecasting.
Able to demonstrate a strong history of influencing cross functional teams, both within supply chain, and with external partners.
Experience working in fast paced environments; proven track record of adapting to evolving business needs.
