PVH Corp. Design Director, Performance - Calvin Klein in New York, New York
The Design Director is responsible for developing the Calvin Klein Performance line under the direction of the Sr Design Director. They will oversee all categories and be responsible for designing the collection along with the Designers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Works directly with Sr Design Director and cross-functionally with Calvin Klein Design teams to research and develop concept, color, fabrics, print and graphics and hardware designs for Calvin Klein Performance in all product categories.
Leads Performance Design team from a senior position in setting up working meetings with Sr Design Director and appropriate Calvin Klein Designers.
Designs concepts in partnership with Concept Director per season and works closely with Merchandising partners to build assortment based on business needs.
Attends fittings and reviews prototypes.
Conveys all information to pertinent parties (Sourcing, Merchandising and Tech).
Communicates all necessary information for the technical packages.
Prepares design presentations for review meetings.
Ensures timely development of the lines by adhering to time and action calendar.
Leads organization for relevant information related to product (mill cards, files of Collections etc.).
Design and techpack a portion of the collection along with the Designers
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: 10+ years design experience with extensive experience in Apparel design
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design
Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
Possess high fashion aesthetics.
Previous experience working with Asia and Europe.
High level of communication
