How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do: • Operates directly with VP of Design and Development / Head of Design and cross-functionally with product teams to research and develop concept, color, fabrics, print and graphics and hardware designs for Woven categories: Jackets, Shirts, Pants, and Special Projects

• Develops and leads design presentations for pitch meetings to Founder and Design Team

• Responsible for inspiring creativity and fostering new concepts through style and graphic research presentations, based on trend direction and the brand ideology

How you will do it: • Prepare research assignments based on direction given by Studio Director. These research assignments should be precise and strategic with a clear understanding of how the concepts can be actualized into design.

• Responsible for execution of design ideation through research mock-up, color assortment and CAD within dedicated categories

• Responsible for vetting and presenting all designs/ideas/mock-ups/ and color strategy before design presentation together with category team members

• Collaborates closely with VP of Design and Development and Studio Director to build seasonal assortment to satisfy both core and new concept business needs

What success looks like: • Attend fittings, and product sample reviews, communicate ideas clearly to execute fit and style direction

• Responsible for Techpacking a portion of the collection within Wovens categories as needed

• Partner with Raw Materials team to source fabrics, and trims

• Partner with graphics team and outside contributors to ensure we are developing a consistent brand message through actualized concepts

• Partner with Development Team to ensure accurate development of collection with regards to time and action calendar

Skills for Success

Years of related professional experience:5+ years design experience

Educational position requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

What we expect you already know: • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.

• Possess high fashion aesthetics.

• Previous experience working with Asia and Europe.

• High level of communication

• Proficiency with computer design software, i.e., Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop)

• The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional through design, development and merchandising

• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet seasonal milestones and key deadlines

• Ability to exhibit excellent presentation and problem solving skills
