Hentsu DevOps Engineer - Remote - US based in New York, New York

The Opportunity: We are looking for a creative DevOps engineer to manage the transition between project planning and software deployment. In this role, your duties will include designing and implementing robust DevOps pipelines to automate software delivery processes. You'll collaborate closely with development teams to optimize code deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning. You will also be required to forecast project duration and cost.
To ensure success as a DevOps engineer, you should demonstrate extensive experience in DevOps engineering, with a focus on automation, continuous integration, and deployment practices.
What you’ll do:
Consult with management on the operational requirements of software solutions
Contribut expertise on information system options, risk, and operational impact
Manage the installation and configuration of solutions
Collaborate with developers on software requirements, as well as interpreting test stage data
Develop interface simulators and designing automated module deployments
Complete code and script updates, as well as resolving product implementation errors
Oversee routine maintenance procedures and performing diagnostic tests
Document processes and monitoring performance metrics
Conform to best practices in network administration and cybersecurity
Requirements
2+ years of experience in DevOps engineering and collaboration
Ability to install and configure software, gather test-stage data, and perform de-bugging
Ability to ensure smooth software deployment by writing script updates and running diagnostics
Experience in managing highly available applications and infrastructure on Azure
Experience with cloud infrastructure spanning multiple accounts, regions and availability zones
Advocate and practitioner of modern approaches to systems management and infrastructure automation tooling (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
Experience and ability to create custom scripts in PowerShell
Comfortable using Git in a team setting, applying CI/CD principles to infrastructure build and deployment processes
Broad cloud networking and security knowledge and experience
A security-focused mindset
Knowledge of Docker and container-based technologies and CI/CD tools
A drive to improve processes and practices within the team and utilize the latest technologies
Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar
