Key Responsibilities:

-Manage social / digital content and broader strategy for CBS This Morning

-Responsible for growing and optimizing engagement across digital platforms including Facebook, Apple News, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and what hasn’t been invented yet

-Oversee CTM digital and social team

-Manage overall weekly priorities and day-to-day digital output

-Develop ideas for unique social content for on-air talent, exclusive interviews, original reporting, special projects and breaking news

-Work closely with anchors and on-air talent to grow their social presence

-Analyze user data to maximize opportunities to convert passive social followers into active viewers

-Work closely with CTM senior editorial team

-Collaborate closely with other parts of news division including PR, Marketing, Interactive

-Approve promotional copy and elements across digital platforms


'-Six to ten years of experience developing digital and social content at a news organization

-Experience managing a digital or social team

-Deep understanding of digital analytics tools as well as other tools and tricks of the trade

-Expertise with social targeting

-Successful track record in developing and implementing digital initiatives

-Proven ability to make editorial judgments and strong understanding of news programs

-Knowledge of emerging media trends and technologies

-Creative self-starter and strong work ethic

-Demonstrated ability to go beyond established formulas

-Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

-Boundless curiosity to follow news events, culture and the people/ideas shaping our world

-Strong communicator of ideas

-Willingness to adapt working schedule to cover special events and breaking news

-Knowledge of social targeting with proven ability to run paid campaigns

-Able to build social talent profiles and use industry tools to provide feedback and reporting on effectiveness of social campaigns

-Bachelor’s Degree or above

-Position based in NY

-Experience working closely with on-air talent a plus
