We havean exciting opportunity for a Development Editor - Digital Learning (DEDL), to join our new team within the Books division. Part of the Editorial department, you'll beresponsible for identifying, developing, and commissioning digital resources to drive revenue for key titles within the textbook publishing program.
Working with authors and in-house editors, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and commissioning a variety of interactive and accessible digital resources to provide learning tools and technologies to support the effective teaching and learning of HE courses. Using primary and secondary market research to identify appropriate content and suitable formats for the resources you'll manage all internal and external stakeholder communications, and manage the online resources from inception to delivery, as well as developing an online content strategy for the resources each semester.

What you'll be doing:
Developing the most effective digital resources to improve learning outcomes and drive student engagement
Ensuring digital resources are delivered on time and to the highest standards
Publishing digital resources on a regular revision cycle
Regularly updating digital content to drive usage
Researches and provides recommendations for DLAs to help drive premium plus textbook sales
Selectingand implementingappropriate methodologies to support research
Working directly with key stakeholders, including authors and in-house editors, to develop and deliver DLA content, and updates, on time and to budget; managingthe full development process, from conception to publication, when necessary
Ensuring that key titles are published on a new edition cycle; workingwith Sales and Marketing to develop go-to-market plans, ensuringtimely content launches, and providingpost-publication monthly usage data to all stakeholders
Acting as a development champion with internal stakeholders to ensure buy-ins and support across other departments
Accountabilityfor managing own learning, taking responsibility to identify and develop skills gaps
In conjunction with Sales and Marketing colleagues, you will help to develop effective go-to-market strategies to ensure that and students are aware of the online resources, and the benefits they bring to the teaching and learning experience, as well as providing supporting training tools.Qualifications
Previous experience of higher-education/academic publishing
Industry andmarket awareness
Research skills
Established project management skills forsmall projects

Reading and interpreting data, & analyzing and synthesizing information
Effective communication with a variety of audiences (internal & external) and mediums (e.g., verbal, written, presentations)

This role is open to candidates on the East Coast of the US in order to maximize the amount of hours worked with UK colleagues
Domestic and international travel to T&F offices may be required
