This position is responsible for working with the VP of Consumer Engagement to drive strategic Consumer Engagement practice and leadership across Skincare category. The position works closely with his/her counterparts in Consumer Marketing including Online, Retail and Education, as well as Cross-Functional teams such as Product Marketing, Global Affiliates, Creative, Finance, Corporate Marketing and external agencies on the development of consumer-centric, digital first, 360 marketing programs that contribute to the achievement of strategic brand marketing objectives. A balanced thinker, both strategic and analytic, is required to identify new opportunities for the Estee Lauder brand as well as analyze current programs performance. It is critical for the candidate to be result & action-oriented making sure Skincare programs are implemented and optimized in the markets.

Develop Digital-first, 360 Marketing Strategies for Skincare

  • Define strategic vision of contents creation, execution and dissemination strategies aligned with brand equity, platform relevancy and consumer targeting for key product launches within Skincare

  • Prepare 360 activation briefs on Skincare program, identifying impactful, consumer-targeted assets cross channels and working with the creative team to execute.

  • Work closely with the Region Leads, providing strategy (contents and activation) and innovation for their seasonal launches and always on content planning as it relates to Skincare

  • Liaise with Regional teams to understand local digital-centric initiatives and help these markets integrate at the local level and take leadership positions in Omnichannel.

  • Identify, scope and define Consumer Engagement workflow processes with clear ownership, deliverables and accountability across stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

  • Ensure all digital experiences, including Social, Online and In-store, are cohesive and compelling.

  • Present and evangelize Customer Engagement strategy to senior leadership on owned categories, in any and all forums requested; Present activation strategies to cross functional brand and channel team leadership.

Ensure Best-in-Class, Digital-first, Consumer-centric Brand Storytelling & Content

  • Develop campaign storytelling and activation strategies that recruit new consumers, cultivate existing consumers, amplify brand reach and engage consumers across all digital channels. The ideal candidate must have a Omni channel mindset in order to ensure cohesion between digital marketing, Online (eCommerce) and in store activations

  • Partner with Regions and Affiliates to develop relevant and compelling messaging, with locally relevant extensions, and to quickly and effectively deliver them to consumers;

  • Through Creative input and Content Direction/Planning, drive storytelling to ensure that creative reinforces brand’s prestige position.

  • Work closely with Cross-functional teams, as part of Consumer Marketing/Engagement team, to develop digital and mobile-centric 360 Briefs.

  • Ensure creative is developed that meets the needs of the global affiliates and can be integrated at a local level.

  • Liaise with the internal creative team as well as external agencies to drive creative development on a timely basis.

  • Work with Creative to generate fresh and engaging campaign ideas to deliver on program goals and deepen loyalty and affinity

Digital Intelligence / Performance Insights

  • Work with Digital Intelligence, Consumer Insights team and Regional teams to ensure insights are gathered around campaign performance, and insights are input into creative briefs.

  • Understand the Digital competitive arena. Bring new ideas to the table based on competitive review of the Digital marketplace.

  • Establish best practices and key performance indicators that can impact content planning; Identify key drivers and make recommendations for optimization and future implementation within the overall strategy

  • Enhance sharing of best practices globally and encourage optimization of existing initiatives


  • Candidate should have 8 years of experience

  • Excellent data analytical skills with ability to evaluate marketing programs

  • Ability to write and present strategies and details in compelling and professional manner

  • Keen understanding of digital marketing arena with ability to interface with International markets to facilitate program rollouts

  • Ability to work with agencies to develop digital –centric content and plans and insure proposed plans represent brand priorities

  • Innovative-Willingness to experiment with new concepts and approaches. Comes up with creative solutions to difficult problems. Ability to source new vendors, technology and platforms

  • Needs to thrive in a fast paced environment, oversee multiple projects, have attention to detail and work well with cross functional teams

  • Strong communication –Clearly communicates expectations. Can relate to a range of people spanning business to creative to technical discipline

  • Keen understanding of industry standards of measurement

  • College Degree Required
