Team Summary

The Digital Technology & Innovation Team (DTIG) is a driven team composed of talented and passionate product managers, UX designers and engineers who work with teams across the division and company to drive constant innovation with our consumer at the center. From trend analysis to augmented reality to machine learning, our team develops digital products that enhance the consumer experience, solves business challenges and/or fills gaps in the consumer journey.

Job Summary

DTIG is looking for a Director of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships to join our team. The primary responsibility is to support digital product innovation by identifying opportunities for innovation, fostering relationships across the startup ecosystem, and managing our Open Innovation program.


  • Partner with VP and team leads to develop and evolve the innovation roadmap

  • Develop and lead the strategic development of the partnership pipeline, including competitive landscape, partner identification, selection and management

  • Synthesize trends, consumer behavior, new and emerging technology across global digital channels i.e. social, retail, e-commerce, etc. and identify project opportunities through mapping of market and technology landscapes

  • Facilitate blue sky, aspirational brainstorm sessions with cross functional teams and present ideas that align with strategic goals and objectives

  • Contextualize potential partner capabilities and evolve DTIG’s understanding of partner capabilities by technology or concept vertical

  • Manage partner onboarding process, which includes collaboration across functional teams (Legal, Procurement, Security) and negotiation of MSA, SOW and pricing

  • Nurture and scale key vendor relationships as well as our accelerator, university, knowledge and innovation partnerships

  • Manage and scale Open Innovation program initiatives, including vendor roadshows and innovation challenges

  • Collaborate with DTIG, brands and cross-functional teams to socialize new areas of innovation and partnership and bring innovation projects to fruition


  • 8 years working in mobile, e-commerce or online/software production (agency or in-house)

  • Excellent visual and verbal communication, with experience communicating to cross-functional stakeholders and seniority level

  • Tech scouting experience with startups, accelerators, incubators, etc.

  • Experience evaluating new and emerging technology

  • Experience with creative, out of the box thinking methodologies

  • Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • Strong operational skills (budgeting, managing concept and idea formulation, resource management)

  • Strong management, leadership and influencing facing skills

  • Experience in contract/legal negotiations

  • Experience with luxury, beauty, retail or lifestyle a plus

  • Positive, go-getter attitude
