Salience Learning Director, Learning Consulting in New York, New York

The Director, Consulting will work closely with our biotech and life science clients to understand their critical learning and development needs and consult with them to deliver value, providing innovative and actionable solutions. You will be a team player and project lead who will drive the delivery of solutions as well as contribute to them. The Director will also be accountable to grow existing accounts as well as identify business opportunities.
The responsibilities of the Director will be to:
Engage and build strong relationships with the client throughout the entirety of the project
Work with clients to identify the learner’s true skill and knowledge gaps to develop strategic recommendations, learning curriculum or experience that will drive the greatest change in behavior
Develop the strategic intent of a project and work with the client and the broader Salience Learning team to define learning objectives
Manage project timelines and coordinate appropriate internal resources to create high-quality, on-time deliverables that stay within scoped timeline and budget
Develop project kick-off decks, project status updates, executive summaries and case studies, as well as facilitate and/or document client meetings
Develop, manage and update multiple project work plans and work streams at the same time
Coordinate and manage team members for client projects who will support the design, development and delivery of solutions including content developers, editors, graphic designers, subcontractors, etc.
Identify potential account/project opportunities and close new business development independently and in collaboration with leadership
Provide high-level reviews of deliverables and ensure quality review is complete before sending to clients
Facilitate meetings and learning experiences
Oversee junior team members management of the client's legal, medical, regulatory review process for each deliverable
Develop and coach junior team members in their professional development
This position is remote/work from home position and will ideally be based in PA, NJ, NY, MA, DE or CA. Travel is required.
Experience and Capabilities:
Bachelor’s degree; learning, science, or business preferred
6+ years managing and leading projects in a matrix environment
4+ years working within the biopharmaceutical industry
4+ years of management consulting experience
Demonstrated experience managing and growing accounts
Demonstrated client management and presentation skills
Sense of urgency surrounding creating and achieving goals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; direct with feedback
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint a MUST
Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Master's Degree preferred
Consulting or industry experience in learning or talent development function strongly preferred
Proficient with Project Management platforms, Google suite of applications and Apple Mac
Local to Greater Philadelphia, New Jersey and willing to travel in PA, NJ & NY areas as needed (50%)
