Mandiant Managed Defense is a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service that combines industry-recognized cyber security expertise, FireEye technology, and unparalleled knowledge of attackers to identify threats early in the attacker lifecycle to minimize the potential impact of a breach. Mandiant Managed Defense is continuously fueled by the industry’s largest global cyber threat intelligence capability that harnesses machine, campaign, adversary and victim intelligence gained from the frontlines of the world’s most consequential cyber-attacks enabling us to reveal even the most sophisticated attacker.   As the Director, Managed Defense, you will provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to a team of insanely bright Managed Defense Consultants (MDCs), as they execute on their mission to find evil and delight clients. The role is directly tied to the success of the Managed Defense organization, as it serves as an integral foundation of our core service offering to customers. Top candidates have a customer-centric operational delivery focus, understanding of network and endpoint forensics, collaborative spirit, strong problem-solving skills, proven leadership abilities, are able to communicate effectively to people at various layers, make timely and well thought out decisions, and possess seasoned client relationship management experience. To that end, you will lead roughly 5-7 MDCs, with varying levels of experience and roles within the organization and work cross-functionally with their peers in other regions to form a cohesive and singular unit across the globe. This leadership role has wide discretion to act in the best interest of their customers, including direct client interaction and orchestrating activities from peer groups, professional services, sales, or the engineering organizations. Operational excellence isn’t a belief for you; it runs through your veins. *What You Will Do: * * Responsible for managing and maintaining multiple customer relationships throughout various industry verticals * Manages a team of customer-facing, passionate security industry experts * Ensure all business processes are executed with efficiency and quality * Regularly interacts with customers of varying sizes and positions in both pre and post sales conversations * Challenge you to learn new concepts; ways of doing things; stretch your abilities * Provide an environment of trust, transparency, and camaraderie across the organization * Provide a platform from which you make a real impact against the bad guys * Encourage you to challenge the status quo, think creatively, and innovate * Be fanatical about delighting our customers * Coach, guide, mentor, develop, and lead a team of security experts to quality rich high performance * Help our teams become smarter, faster, and better at what we do, while maintaining a laser focus on quality * Be honest, transparent, and genuine with our customers * Work hard, but smart; balance your work and life * Help us protect some of the most valuable assets and brands in the world *Requirements: * * 9+ years of technical experience in one of the following areas: security operations, incident response, incident detection, malware analysis, threat response * Knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems and relevant tools, and network security concepts and tools * Experience with endpoint and network detection and protection * Understanding of current information security challenges and solutions; industry trends * Strong experience in both strategic and tactical thinking in how you approach issues and present solutions * Able to gather, analyze, execute, and assess outcomes on key initiatives based on quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of sources * Customer engagement and/or customer relationship experience * Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally, with key stakeholders, leadership, partners, and team members *Additional Qualifications: * * A willingness to be challenged and learn * An open mind, and an appetite for excellence * Experience leading a mission critical operations team * Able to make quality and timely decisions in the face of ambiguity and ever-evolving situations * Fosters cooperation, communication, and commitment among groups and teams * Collaborates with other leaders within the organization to effect change and drive quality into outcomes on key initiatives * Anticipates and resolves conflicts and removes barriers to success * Optimizes the performance of teams and individual team members * Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship At FireEye we are committed to our #OneTeam approach combining diversity, collaboration, and excellence.
