We’re seeking a Director of New Business to join our team in our NYC office. As the Director of New Business, you will oversee a team of Account Directors focusing on and developing strategies to drive new business growth of School and District Subscriptions in small and mid-sized school districts. A successful Director of New Business will have experience hiring and managing a sales team within a subscription-based selling model (preferably in Ed Tech) and understand how to develop, coach, and motivate a team, create an identity and shared purpose. You will also work closely with senior management to establish and cultivate organizational relationships, build district development plans, provide strategic guidance in forecasting, and optimize the quality of product delivery to customers through collaboration with the product team.

In this role, you will:

Hire, manage, train, and motivate a team of Account Directors focusing on new business growth in small and mid-sized school districts

Work with the SVP-Sales & Success to develop KPIs, territory strategies, forecasts and key metrics to track revenue and new business growth

Hold regular pipeline management and strategy calls/meetings with team and individuals to monitor progress and provide feedback

Collaborate cross-functionally with the Account Management team, Product Team, Onboarding, and Customer Success team to create positive customer experiences

On Your Resume:

3+ years of successfully leading high-performance sales teams—preferably in Education Technology

Experience strategically growing the new business pipeline and a proven track record of sales success and reaching goals

Experience working in a subscription-based selling model

Bachelor’s Degree required

Detail-oriented, extremely organized and thrive on managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

An articulate communicator with strong leadership skills
