THE ROLE

DC Manager is responsible for all tasks involved with smooth daily operations of DC maintenance functions, includes processing of merchandise from the receiving department to primary locations, replenishments, pulls, cycle counts, As well as assisting the warehouse team in the hiring and training of DC personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage the logistics of retail distribution directing logistics service partners contracted for distribution services. Liaise and engage with warehouse team for warehousing services and DC system maintenance.

  • Work with warehouse team in directing daily e-commerce business and distribution orders and deliveries to retail store.

  • M3/WMS software is to be used effectively to ensure proper stock movements, pulls and inventory adjustments.

  • Communicate daily with LGM/C21 Buying teams and Inventory Control, to direct workflow and ensure priority e-commerce and distribution orders are processed accordingly.

  • Work with Buying and warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate input of all distribution order information through the Warehouse Management System.

  • Procure non- inventory shipping and VAS related supplies for DC.

  • Work closely with Receiving and Shipping Manager for proper handling of inbound and outbound stock movements. Including daily deliveries to and from the retail store.

  • Work closely with IT in reporting system and hardware needs.

  • Manage incidences related to product distribution in conjunction with warehouse teams for inbound and outbound shipments. Follow up with any issues in line with agreed standards, contract, and service level agreements.

  • Solid communication skills to lead cross functional teams in achieving desired results hitting agreed upon KPI’s for each business segment.

  • Coordinate budget goals based on business assessments and knowledge of field.

  • Communicates key operational goals and opportunities with warehouse manager to ensure proper coaching of team members and to improve efficiencies.

  • Participation in projects and initiatives executed in the market.

  • Other duties may be assigned

  • Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Some physical exertion required.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move 0 to 75 pounds.

  • Regularly required stand, walk, go up and down a ladder, and occasionally bend and move about the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Three to five years industry experience required.

  • Degree from an accredited institution in business, management, or related field.

  • Personnel management experience needed

  • Analytical skills and the ability to work with WMS/ERP.

  • Supply Chain execution knowledge and strong business orientation.

  • Valid driver’s license

  • This position requires that the person be highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently.

  • Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

  • Will have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable with Internet and inventory control applications.

  • The ability to assimilate new systems and reporting tools.
