Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP eData Systems Infrastructure Engineer in New York, New York
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with almost 4,000 lawyers and staff in 31 offices is currently seeking an eData Systems Infrastructure Engineer local to our Houston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Chicago & New York office locations. Reporting to the eData Operations Manager, the Systems Infrastructure Engineer in the eData Practice Group will be responsible for managing and supporting eData's infrastructure, Discovery applications and custom applications.
Installation, configuration and upgrades to eData's hosted eDiscovery and custom applications.
Technical troubleshooting and optimization of eDiscovery applications and systems.
Manage Windows, Linux and enterprise SQL servers.
Testing and deployment of operating system and application patches.
Perform backups and restores of databases and applications.
Monitoring of applications and servers to ensure system uptime and optimal end user experience.
Reporting, monitoring and archival of project data.
Migration of data between eDiscovery applications.
Develop custom scripts and web applications
Provides level III support for client requests, incidents and problems related to availability of eDiscovery platforms.
Where needed, provides after-hours support to address incidents and to maintain systems, support operational efforts and implement changes that would otherwise create an adverse business impact.
Collaborates with software application vendors, IT and development teams to deploy new applications serving eData and client needs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
This job requires:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and or equivalent.
minimum of four years of relevant experienceor equivalent combination of education and experience.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have familiarity and/or experience within the following areas:
Familiarity with Active Directory, SAML, OpenID, TCP/IP, DNS and SQL.
Proven understanding of Infrastructure hardware, physical/virtual servers, system monitoring, networks, firewalls, layered applications, security and patch management concepts.
Experience with development of scripts and web-applications.
Experience administering Kcura Relativity.
Experience managing and monitoring enterprise Microsoft SQL Servers
Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
Experience managing Windows or Linux Servers
Experience with provisioning of Cloud compute/storage/networks.
Experience administrating eDiscovery applications.
Experience with availability monitoring and log aggregation tools.
Experience with compute, storage & network virtualization technologies.
Experience with provisioning and/or migration of enterprise application workloads to cloud computing is strongly preferred.
Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent.
