Salary Range: $68,000-$75,000 POSITION TITLE Engineer I/II - Bridge Division LOCATION Hybrid - Remote/New York City, NY Hybrid - Remote/Woodcliff Lake, NJ OVERVIEW In this entry-level position, the Engineer applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks under the direct supervision of an experienced engineer. The Engineer is responsible for performing routine technical work and exercising limited judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs specific and limited portions of broader assignment using prescribed methods. Applies industry-standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes. Assists in the preparation of project deliverables, including but not limited to: reports, permit applications, drawings and specifications, cost estimates, field data collection, shop drawing review, calculations, material testing and BIM/CADD work. Performs basic survey work and observes construction activities. Reviews input from Project or Technical Managers and makes the necessary adjustments and corrections to work product. Performs work in a timely and effective manner within assigned schedules and budgets. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent. Engineer-In-Training Certificate strongly preferred. Zero to five years' experience. Excellent analytical capability; strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to thrive in a team focused environment and engage in creative, critical thought; takes initiative on tasks and collaborates with other team members. Ability to learn new engineering tools, methods of analysis, and software. Ability to apply engineering skills to a variety of different project types and conditions.
