Position Summary

Responsible for supporting the Program Director on program initiatives, daily operations and administrative duties and for the coordination of Program in Physical Therapy’s admission process.

Responsibilities

  • Directly reports to the Program Director and provides administrative support on program initiatives and daily operations as directed. Also provides direct administrative support for Program Director, including but not limited to letter writing, correspondence and scheduling.

  • Coordinate planning for Fall Orientation, White Coat Ceremony, Graduation, and coordinate and plan recruitment visits for faculty and staff positions.

  • Prepares documentation required for licensure.

  • Coordinates summer youth program.

  • Use P-card to make purchases and reconcile transactions monthly

  • Perform other administrative duties as directed.

  • Responsible for coordination of Program’s admission process working collaboratively with designated faculty. Responsibilities include tracking and developing reports for student admissions, matriculation and graduation utilizing a variety of software packages including PTCAS, and SIS.

  • Responsible for scheduling student interviews, maintaining correspondence, preparing and reviewing required documentation. Meet with prospective students for preadmission advising sessions and coordinate observations .

  • Analyze admission applications, verify completeness, and respond to questions from prospective students seeking assistance with the admission process.

  • Schedule open house sessions, prepare documentation and coordinate with faculty as directed .

  • Send out applicant status letters as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus three years of related experience.

  • Strong professional and communication skills. Has the ability to exercise discretion and appropriate judgment in sensitive and confidential matters with students and faculty.

  • Requires strong verbal and written skills.

  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and accuracy independently.

  • Capabilities to problem solve effectively to manage required directed tasks

  • Must be able to work collaboratively and independently

  • Computer proficiency is required with Word, Excel, Power Point and university software packages. Adept at quickly learning new software (PTCAS, EXXACT) and other new products and technology evolves.
