About The Role
Responsible for driving the strategy and delivering against sales goals for ELC brands at across all retailers. This role collaborates with the brand online teams on long-term strategic planning as well as portfolio and brand-specific opportunities – this includes exploring and leading seasonal digital marketing program opportunities, evaluating/negotiating co-op deals and leading our teams to demonstrate best-in-class practices and principles across retail accounts for the channel.
Responsibilities:
Leads team in Strategy & Execution for ELC brands in Retailer.com
Responsible for achieving sales plans across retailer.com partners (department stores, specialty-multi, etc): work collaboratively with ELC brand online teams to strategically plan, set sales targets, track performance, and ultimately achieve e/m channel sales targets for all ELC brands across retailer.com accounts
Lead the channel portfolio strategy: develop and cascade strategy for the brand portfolio, and leverage scale to pursue unique opportunities for brands. Leverage best practices to deploy synergies among brands, leading a community of practice for the Retailer.com teams
Ensure strategy is translated to all brands & maximize individual brand strategies: work closely with the brand teams to ensure that all strategies are incorporated at brand level, including:
Offer an integrated omnichannel consumer experience
Build sales around basic and core, and keep a sustainable amount of promotions
Identify and capture online-only opportunities, exclusives, etc.
Maximize big launches with best possible marketing plans
Coordinate with brands to develop growth strategies which support retailer goals
Drive effectiveness & synergies across brands: on an ongoing basis pursue opportunities to improve and/or create processes that will enhance how brands work, both in the portfolio and with the retailer. This will include approach to sales planning and tracking, detailed marketing planning, and ongoing communication of results – and all the related supporting documents, planning templates, side by side calendars, sales reporting, ‘newsflash’, etc.)
Work with Retailer partners to advance the Beauty Strategy: be the thought leader opportunities to further develop and enhance beauty at retailers, recommending partner site improvements and efficiencies, sharing best practices as needed to improve site environment and elevate the ELC portfolio
Drive Omnichannel Integration & Acceleration of Retailer Channel
In collaboration with the Regional Key Account Leadership, drive integration of ecommerce and brick & mortar to meet customers evolving expectations. Work to evolve the business/service model at brick & mortar and ecommerce to fully capitalize on the unique strengths of each channel
Drive cross-functional alignment at retailer and at ELC on strategic objectives, sales plans, and marketing planning to capitalize on potential synergies and eliminate overlaps
Oversees Effective Planning and Allocation of Resources to Meet Strategic and Profit Objectives
Guide brands on media management & evaluation guiding teams with media conversation between retailers, sharing and ensuring ELC media best practices are followed and further negotiating on rates and media types offered
Lead and establish analytics on performance marketing activities in main media formats (email, digital ad buys, re-messaging, social etc.) to evaluate media performance and A&P effectiveness to optimize future marketing programs
