LSA Family Health Service Facilities Supervisor in New York, New York

Facilities Supervisor - Full-Time Position Salary Range: $55,000 to $60,0000 per yr. Reports to Operations Manager About LSA: For nearly 65 years, Little Sisters of the Assumption (LSA) Family Health Service, a community-based nonprofit, has supported thousands of low-income and immigrant families. LSA provides families with the most critical resources they need - food, clothing, healthcare, education, a safe home, and advocacy services. Job description: LSA's Facilities Supervisor will maintain and oversee the building and equipment to ensure that the workplace is safe and functional. Their duties include but not limited to negotiating contracts with service providers; inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations by regulatory agencies and coordinating cleaning; repairs; facility staff work schedules; renovations and other building related responsibilities. Duties and responsibilities: - Delegating and scheduling cleaning and maintenance tasks to facilities team - Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior/exterior of all areas - Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed - Scheduling routine security measures and emergency repairs with outside vendors - Ensuring proper security measures are in place for the workplace; including collaborating with security system vendor (Cross Fire Security) - Maintaining day-to-day maintenance; repairs; safety and other activities for supervisors and other relevant staff - Preparing facilities for seasonal weather conditions (cooling tower & HVAC systems) - Work with COO/CFO on facilities annual budgetary needs - Work on special projects as directed by COO/CFO or Operations Manager Skills and qualifications: - Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing; HVAC and other building systems - Proficiency with repair tools and techniques - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Bilingual English/Spanish preferred - Good organizational and time management skills - Attention to details and efficient problem-solving skills - Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
