THE ROLE
Legends is seeking an FP&A Associate to join its Finance & Strategy team, which focuses on corporate finance, corporate development and strategic planning. The FP&A Associate will report to the Vice President of Finance & Strategy and play a key role as a financial advisor to the business, working across Legends’ various verticals to analyze the financial performance of the business, create monthly financial reporting for senior management and the Board of Directors, coordinate annual budget and monthly forecast processes for the entire company and collaborate with regional and business finance leads.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with Business Leads and operational finance team to forecast business trajectory and formulate budgetary needs and long-term strategic plans
Perform variance and trend analysis versus plans as well as previous years
Partner with Accounting team during month end close process to ensure P&L accuracy
Highlight risks and opportunities relative to business plans
Assist in the creation of the company’s annual business plan
Create monthly financial presentations for senior management
Package business insights and performance summaries into materials for the Board of Directors and investors
Build tools, reports and performance dashboards and KPIs for Finance Executive Team as needed
Perform ad-hoc analysis into questions raised by leadership to inform decision-making
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3 years’ experience in FP&A, Accounting or related field
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with a strong GPA
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
Strong understanding of financial statement and cash flow analysis (e.g., Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, NPV, IRR, etc.)
Self-starter with demonstrable analytic aptitude, problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity
Ability to build relationships, manage multiple responsibilities at once and work well with others under tight deadlines
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Detail oriented and organized
Familiarity with data visualization (e.g., Tableau) preferred but not required
Interest or experience in sports & entertainment preferred but not required
