Front-End Developer – Tech Consulting Senior
EY advises clients to understand, architect, select and implement digital technology. We are looking to grow our team in a variety of areas, including the Front-End Development space.
This is a rapidly growing area, so you will have plenty of opportunity to spread your wings and continue to develop your skillset to build customer and employee facing experiences for our top tier brand clients. Most of your time will be spent embedded with our clients’ team taking their experiences and creative designs and making them come to life. If you enjoy working on difficult interactive experiences and finding new ways to leverage modern frameworks (i.e. ReactJS), then we want to speak with you.
Your key responsibilities
You will team with EY and our client’s creative groups to build pixel perfect, smooth, and responsive UIs that will be used across multiple devices. As you create these new experiences, you will be challenged to find solutions on how to create a repository of reusable features and libraries that will accelerate the delivery of the experience.
In addition to your role as a developer, you will have the opportunity to explore other digital capabilities to build and deploy customer and employee experiences across multiple platforms (i.e. Adobe, Microsoft) or custom single page applications. You will be expected to be able to consult with clients and provide scalable and repeatable solutions for various experiences. You will also collaborate with team members in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership and accelerators to differentiate EY in the market.
Skills and attributes for success
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other technical background
Knowledge of human-computer interaction design and leading practices
Experience with integrating with REST / APIs (retail specifically) and microservices
Experience with unit testing of UI (automation of testing desirable)
Knowledge of front-end security best practices
Understanding of DevOps / code versioning tools (i.e. GIT, Bitbucket, etc)
Ability to consult on digital/web marketing technology and evaluate clients’ technical ecosystem against best practices
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise business processes with technology skills
To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred and 3+ years of related work experience; or a Graduate Degree and approximately 2 years of related work experience
A valid driver’s license in the US; willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs (up to 25%)
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience developing for web, mobile and tablet platforms
