Amazon QuickSight is looking for a seasoned, passionate, talented, and inventive Senior Front End Engineer to help create new machine learning-powered experiences. We want to work with you to revolutionize the way people manage, visualize and interact with large amounts of data.

Amazon QuickSight is revolutionizing Business Intelligence by empowering anyone to use ML to quickly understand their data. Amazon QuickSight can already help discover hidden insights using Anomaly Detection, ML-powered forecasting, and use automatic text generation of business narratives directly from user data. But we're not stopping here! This new initiative will bring a radical set of answers to users questions within seconds by using state-of-the-art ML models help them understand and visualize their data.

About the Role ...

As a Front End Engineer, you will be responsible for leading large ambitious and ambiguous projects, leading a team to instill best practices, process improvement, and implementing creative and innovative user experiences using modern browser technologies and techniques.

Your job includes working closely with customers and product management to understand and clarify requirements, working closely with our UX design team to vet proposals from a technical feasibility perspective, and add creative influence to simplify, enhance, and impact our customers. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and deployment, of a wide range of user interfaces and user experiences. You will work closely with the entire engineering team to execute on major deliverables.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

· Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years of work experience for every 1 year of education

· 2+ years' professional experience in software development.

· Experience with modern programming languages (Java, C#, Python) and open-source technologies

· Experience with web/mobile technologies (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, React, WebPack, HTTP mechanics/performance).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in modern TypeScript/JavaScript application development

· Experience with HTML5, CSS, web frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Node, Web Components)

· Experience developing solutions with AWS

· Experience working with teams using Agile & Scrum methodologies

· Strong written and oral communication skills
