Citigroup Global Functions & EIOT Comp Function Group Manager in New York, New York
The Head of Global Functions Compensation is a manager of managers, responsible for overseeing and administering the firm’s compensation strategy and programs for over 50,000 employees globally. As a Senior Member of the HR community, this individual will be an integral part of the development of Citi’s compensation strategy while also overseeing all compensation activities within the Global Functions business. This individual will be working directly with the functional leadership team at Citi.
This individual will lead a team of 15-20 compensation professionals that are responsible for the administration, communication, and development of Citi’s compensation strategy across our functional businesses, which include Finance, Human Resources, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Legal, and other select businesses. In this role, you will consistently partner with the most Senior leaders of the firm, as well as HR partners, recruiting, and external partners to execute compensation solutions in our challenging, dynamic environment.
The role requires thorough understanding of the strategic direction of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in compensation. This individual will oversee administration of short-term and long-term incentive pay and base pay. This individual will collaborate with business leaders and key partners to advise and consult on new hires and promotions, as well as retention strategies for existing employees.
The role requires close partnership with our regulatory and legal advisors to ensure Citi is complying with changing state and federal laws and regulations. Additionally, this individual will help manage our pay equity programs.
Responsible for developing and executing the reward strategy for our Global Functions sector
Manages market pricing activities, including data analysis and job pricing
Applies an in-depth strategic expertise in compensation principles, practices, and procedures
Designs, plans, and implements broad compensation programs, policies, and procedures
Serves as a key advisor and partners with HR and/or directly with the Business
Participates in policy development and planning
Manages a team of multiple teams of Compensation professionals
Sets strategy for achieving organization's desired compensation goals
15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience
Seasoned leader with extensive business experience, broad and deep functional expertise and significant product knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
Superior project management skills
Advanced analytical skills
Self-motivated and detail oriented
Proactive leadership and motivational skills
Excellent communication skills are required to influence a wide range of audiences
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
