Risk Management supports our people in managing the risks that arise during our daily working lives. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify, manage, and monitor risk, providing coordinated advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, compliance, regulatory, policy, security issues, as well as dealing with claims and any queries regarding ethics.

As a Government & Public Sector (GPS) State/Local/Education (SLED) Contracts Management Supervising Associate, you’ll make educated, thoughtful decisions on Risk Management. Our brand depends on it. This position is responsible for providing contract management support for SLED client contracts. You will review solicitations, proposals, bids, contracts, contract modifications, non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and subcontracting agreements. Additionally, you’ll perform reviews of contracts and proposals for compliance with internal policies, procedures, Federal Acquisition Regulations and other regulations, and other local law as required.

Your key responsibilities

  • Supports the SLED team in managing contracts from inception through close-out

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with government contracting officers and internal stakeholders.

  • Completes RFP reviews for compliance and risk assessments

  • Responsible for contract set-up in Deltek

  • Coordinate review of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), HIPAA Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), Teaming Agreements (TAs), subcontracts and Requests for Proposals by the various risk mitigation teams (BRS/GCO)

  • Provides support to the SLED team to help complete data calls and other tasks

  • Responsible for various SLED required reporting (administrative fees, fair pay requirements, etc.)

  • Provide reporting and administrative support for obtaining certificates of insurance, as well as high level monitoring of engagement team compliance activities

  • Provide reporting and administrative support for all SLED contracts to include input of all key terms and reporting requirements

  • Use contract management tools, templates, methods, and processes for engagements

  • Update and maintain Deltek Costpoint Contract Management module (CCM)

  • Identifies contractual risks and issues and provides resolutions and recommends actions

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to gain working knowledge of contract concepts and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and local legal and regulatory requirements

  • Ability to learn and apply firm policies and procedures quickly

  • Strong computer skills in MS Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as the ability to learn new computer applications

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with peers in CBS functions within the GPS practice and with client-serving teams

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Risk Management peers to support strategies in a coordinated manner

  • Takes responsibility for a discreet component(s) or for an entire simple or moderately complex project and works independently with periodic feedback

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 5+ years of professional experience required

  • Knowledge of FAR, FERPA, and other regulatory requirements is required.

  • 2+ years of experience with public procurements is preferred (reasonable, comparable experience may be substituted for public procurement experience)

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree plus extensive relevant experience

  • Contract Management certifications

  • Deltek Costpoint or Cognos experience

  • Basic knowledge of Accounting functions
