The Graphic Designer supports the Creative and Digital teams in design and layout initiatives from ideation through execution ensuring all projects are to spec, on brand, and on time. Design projects may include ecommerce site and digital channel content, OMNI seasonal campaigns, promotional materials, brand collateral, packaging, etc. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating exceptional digital experiences and content that support company objectives, capture the spirit of Dylan’s Candy Bar, and enhance the overall customer experience across all touchpoints.


  • Drive innovation with creative execution and editorial storytelling across all digital and print mediums including website, email, paid channels, social, brand collateral, signage, and retail locations

  • Support the full lifecycle of creative programs from conception through execution and launch

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to promote transparency and manage awareness of asset creation workload and project prioritization

  • Partner with Ecommerce, marketing, & development team members on creative needs for site updates & enhancements, test mock-ups, and brand initiatives from ideation through execution/set-up within timelines

  • Design and create seasonal and weekly ecommerce content and digital assets, in-store signage, branding collateral, package design/mockups, and product renderings within determined deadlines.

  • Develop email communications that inspire customers and drive traffic to company website and retail stores & partner with marketing on opportunities for A/B testing

  • Anticipate the needs of the department to ensure the efficient and timely completion of deliverables

  • Maintain project libraries; compile all reference material together with program files

  • Adapt approved layouts to various formats, as requested

  • Collaborate, brainstorm, and discover graphics, techniques, and materials with other designers to create innovative assets, as well as typographic and layout solutions

  • Use knowledge and understanding of current trends to design and execute specific categories

  • Assist in aiding creative team project management as needed

  • Work collaboratively with other teams across the organization, supporting design needs of other departments as needed

  • Offer graphic direction, mentoring, and thought leadership to junior team members

  • Participate in team meetings and play an active role in DCB’s Creative and Digital teams


  • 3-5 years of graphic design experience preferably in retail and/or an ecommerce-based environment

  • BFA Graphic Design or related field

  • Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Adobe, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Premier Pro

  • Experience with Shopify web platform and Shogun Extension

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Figma

  • Proficiency in design typography and ability to create static and animated imagery and video content

  • Can work independently; works well under remote management and is able to prioritize and manage ambiguous workload

  • Collaborative by nature. Able to partner with internal and external partners to efficiently and effectively achieve organization and department goals

  • Demonstrates strong communication skills; possess a positive attitude, flexible mindset, and the ability to build strong working relationships remotely

  • Strong understanding of digital design and application & knowledge of various formats & printing processes

  • Exercises empathy and non-linear thinking; ideates creative solutions with the customer experience front of mind
