Guardian Life Head of Campus Recruiting in New York, New York

As the Head of Campus Recruiting, you will develop Guardian’s enterprise-wide campus recruiting strategy and lead our internship and early careers programs.

You will be joining a dedicated and collaborative Talent Acquisition team. As our Head of Campus Recruiting, you will have a dual-reporting line into our Head of Talent Acquisition and Head of Talent. You will play a meaningful role as part of the Talent Acquisition leadership team, defining our campus recruiting strategy and building out our internship and early careers programs. You will develop relationships internally with key partners, as well as externally on college campuses with students and staff.

You Will:

  • Take lead in the development of a campus recruiting strategy and serve as leader for our campus recruiting efforts across the U.S.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with target universities, including career services programs, diversity groups, alumni networks, fraternities/sororities, students, and faculty members.

  • Effectively collaborate with key internal partners, HRBP’s and our Diversity & Inclusion team to define a hiring plan and align on key goals and priorities.

  • Lead the overall design of our campus recruitment processes, as well as key deliverables and success metrics. At conclusion of recruiting season, review metrics and sourcing strategies to assess success of the program and present key takeaways and recommendations for future programs.

  • Develop network of potential candidates through thoughtful engagement and active participation in ongoing recruiting activities on campus, including presentations, campus career fairs, resume workshops and mock interview sessions, resulting in a network of potential, engaged candidates.

  • Facilitate the campus hiring process and serve as the main point of contact for all candidate engagement, from screening resumes, to conducting interviews and extending offer letters.

  • Coordinate both our internship and early careers programs, including all trainings and networking events, budgeting, performance management and offers at the commencement of the internship program.

  • Consider new, creative opportunities and initiatives to elevate our campus program and brand Guardian as an employer of choice for students and new graduates.

  • As a member of the Talent Acquisition leadership team, participate in developing our company wide recruiting strategy.

You Have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of campus recruiting experience

  • Experience launching successful campus recruiting programs

  • Previous experience leading a campus recruiting team preferred

  • Experience defining a Diversity & Inclusion strategy and building rapport with key diverse organizations and universities

  • Ability to define, analyze and articulate key success metrics and results

  • Exceptional organizational, time management and communication skills

  • Strong working knowledge of applicant tracking system, Workday preferred

Salary Range

$81,040.00 - $180,600.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
