The Role…

At Soho House the North America Head of Recruitment is responsible for defining, leading, and managing the Talent Acquisition strategy and maintaining efficient practices and processes that create consistent results and a positive candidate experience. This role will set vision and inspire the North America recruiting strategy, achieving results through effective leadership of the recruiting team and strong partnership with the business. As the Head of Recruitment, you are responsible for identifying and securing top managerial / executive talent throughout our central support office and operations. Create bespoke talent solutions to support mass recruitment efforts, including but are not limited to; seasonal hiring, internship programs, department restructures and new openings.

A successful Head of Recruitment works well under pressure and in demanding environments. This individual will be a high impact partner who can effectively identify and address talent gaps, implement cutting edge sourcing tools and processes, build new and enhance existing programs around diversity and employer branding, and assure the highest level of commitment to recruiting excellence across the board. With proven experience training managers on best practices and hiring techniques, supporting the internal transfer application process (domestically/globally), and driving a comprehensive D&I recruitment strategy. In addition, they will be responsible for vendor management, overseeing budget, career site/ATS management, compensation analysis, creating and delivering integrated marketing assets, maintaining legal compliance, external partnerships and university strategy.

Main Duties…

  • Lead the recruiting strategy and execution for current and new houses, public restaurants, and support teams across North America while also serving as a thought partner to senior HR and business leaders

  • Spearhead strategic innovation that shapes all foundational people processes through the right balance of candidate and manager experience, efficiency, employer branding, systems automation, and analytics and reporting

  • Optimize and scale the overall team and hiring standards that support a seamless and positive candidate experience throughout the prospective employee lifecycle, including but not limited to: team structure, candidate evaluation processes, interview best practices, candidate follow-up, recruiting KPIs, internal transfer initiatives, and continuous improvement to drive the growth strategy

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders across all departments domestically and across the globe; HR, Legal, IT, Finance, Marketing, Membership and Operations

  • Identify mission-critical talent gaps and develop and execute effective recruiting strategies for capturing and attracting top talent across North America; champion the building of talent pipelines and communities for highly critical functional areas and diverse talent pools

  • Drive, measure, and consult on process optimization and effectiveness through diverse strategies that may involve Google Analytics, outsourcing, shared/self-service, content curation (SEO) and policy creation

  • Evaluate and identify university partnerships, career fairs, recruitment events and internship programs

  • Enforce D&I recruitment initiatives that focus on unbiased hiring practices to identify, acquire and hire top talent based off business goals, candidate experience and skill set

  • Manage vendor communication and UX/UI for Soho House & Co. Career Site as well as Application Tracking System (ATS). Coordinate and participate in cross-functional testing/QA for system enhancements and troubleshooting

  • Amplify Soho House employer brand utilizing all tools and communication channels to deliver messaging, such as creating & maintaining integrated marketing material for digital (i.e. social media, mobile) as well as print distribution

  • Analyse and assess recruitment spend / trends as well as provide the business with comprehensive understanding of geo-targeted salary surveys to provide competitive compensation packages for new and current markets

  • Track and analyse data on sourcing and conversion efforts to understand the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and drive improvements as needed; translate data into relevant stories to help drive business strategy

  • Partner with Department Leaders, People & Development teams and Learning & Development on identifying internal and external talent that exhibit the pre-established key competencies that determine high performers with high potential

  • Oversee team management including but not limited to recruitment, on-boarding, training, career development, and coaching. Oversee staff performance, conducting appraisals and instilling a standard of excellence in all aspects of the full lifecycle hiring process

  • Adhere to health and safety policy (i.e. IIPP, worker’s comp procedures, and allergy procedures) and implement, monitor and enforce compliance with all Company policies, procedures and standards

  • Externally focused by staying on top of new trends in the industry, building relationships with industry organizations, understanding how to penetrate emerging markets for talent, and engaging in new technologies and approaches that will create an amazing candidate experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience

  • 2+ years of experience managing a team

  • Previous experience managing high-volume and fast-paced recruitment environments within a head office capacity across a magnitude of departments, as well as Food & Beverage

  • An essential part of the job is being available on a flexible schedule and being willing to work outside “office hours”. For example, nights, weekends and holidays (as needed and when applicable). This may or may not be required on a regular basis but is mandatory when needed

  • Big picture thinker who anticipates future trends and creates competitive and creative talent strategies and plans

  • Well-developed business partner skills; able to establish credibility and rapport with operating leaders and HR Partners

  • Knowledge of employment law and key regulations as they relate to the function

  • Exceptional influencing skills couple with a deep understanding of the business and talent within

  • Sense of urgency; possesses a collaborative, yet relentless approach to process improvement and team management in order to achieve unparalleled results, especially around cost, execution and service

  • Strong business acumen and detail-orientation; exceptional communications skills an absolute must; excellent presenter, demonstrating ability and aptitude to communicate across all levels of the organization

  • Keen eye for detail and ability to problem-solve in demanding environments

  • Ability to create, develop and implement integrated marketing solutions that align with Soho House & Co. mission and support the acquisition of top talent

  • Passionate about providing exceptional customer service to internal and external partners

  • Agency experience is a plus but not a must

  • ATS / career site management and training

  • Managing recruitment budgets and maintain legal compliance across different regions and globally
