The Head of Site Merchandising is responsible for optimizing the store for maximum performance, and leveraging data analysis to improve the customer experience. Key to success in this role is the ability to understand key traffic drivers and how to optimize them. Creative thinking is also critical as the Head of Site Merchandising will be instrumental in developing new merchandising and CX improvement concepts. In addition to managing a team of merchandisers, you will develop merchandising strategies, prioritize projects, drive the launch of new features and functionalities, and create compelling business documents for senior management. Finally, you must possess an eye for innovation, in order to identify opportunities for efficiency and automation, and then work cross-functionally to implement those improvements.

Job Responsibilities
* Establish merchandising strategies in collaboration with key business partners (Marketing, Buying, Planning, Fashion Office, User Experience, etc.)
* Plan and communicate merchandising plans, taxonomy changes, and new campaign and category rollouts by socializing merchandising best practices, based on sales data and analysis
* Ensure optimal product placement, visibility of key items, and effective merchandising of product assortments
* Build cross-functional relationships with key business partners, gaining insights into upstream and downstream issues, key business initiatives, and trends
* Create and influence project plans and milestones for large initiatives and cross- functional projects
* Drive and evolve site best practices by reviewing competitive landscape and create action plans based on customer insights
* Participate in regular prioritization meetings and cross-functional projects
* Make recommendations on A/B testing and user research
* Collaborate with UX, Marketing, and multiple cross-functional partners across the enterprise to make recommendations for new features and functionality
* Analyze site traffic and conversion metrics to optimize site usability and navigation to drive conversion
* Develop category structure and product placement strategy through analytics
* Monitor the homepage execution and performance analytics
* Constantly evaluate merchandise performance and product availability
* Focus on key conversion drivers and evaluate and approve recommendations of team members for optimal utilization of site presentation
* Maximize engagement and enhance the customer shopping experience, ensuring multi-channel efforts are met
* Drives seasonal or category relevant initiatives by reviewing site performance
* Monitor competitive sites, facilitating a deep understanding of conversion and engagement metrics and provide in-depth performance analysis
* Provide supervision and development opportunities for the Merchandising team by identifying training and facilitating mentoring, assigning duties, building a team-based work environment, establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations, and coaching for improvement and successBasic Qualifications

* BA/BS required
* 7+ years of experience designing and executing online merchandising strategies
* Proven leadership experience with 3+ direct reports, including performance management and development
* Experience with online metrics and testing tools such as Adobe Analytics and Optimizely
* Experience communicating and presenting to senior management
