Head of Syndications 40 Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. $186,200.00 $345,800.00 $89.52 $166.25 The Head of Syndications will be responsible for building and leading a syndications organization, ensuring close partnerships with key internal and external partners to coordinate and execute on the syndication opportunities for financial products. Responsible for managing all aspects of the syndication process including marketing, structuring, pricing, negotiation and supervising the distribution of loans. Provides key strategic commentary and insights for syndicated and leveraged transactions for Commercial clients of Valley Bank.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Develop and execute syndication strategies to maximize the distribution of financial products, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends.- Build a talent pipeline and lead a team of syndication professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.- Partner closely with internal stakeholders such as origination teams, Relationship Managers, and underwriters to ensure seamless execution of syndication transactions.- Analyze market conditions and investor preferences to tailor syndication approaches for different financial products and target audiences.- Oversee the structuring and pricing of syndicated deals, balancing investor demand with sound risk management practices.- Cultivate and manage relationships with institutional investors, banks, financial institutions and other partners to expand the syndication network.- Build and implement systems, processes and people resources to support a growing syndications function.- Lead sell side syndications and support buy side when opportunities arise including being a conduit and partner for internal opportunities referred by partners.- Ensure that syndicated relationships and purchased transactions are structured appropriately including assessing cash flow, debt capacity.- Enhance business development opportunities to meet or exceed plan objectives and ensure profitability objectives are obtained.- Partner with credit team to manage balance sheet exposures.Other Responsibilities:- Comply with all regulations pertaining to BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT, and OFAC. Complete annual BSA training. Report suspicions of criminal activity, or any attempt to avoid BSA reporting requirements on the part of customers or employees, to the AML/BSA Compliance Department. For supervisory positions, ensure BSA training requirements are completed by staff.- Stay current with industry trends, regulations and best practices in syndication to drive innovation and maintain compliance.- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills:- Seasoned professional with an in-depth under standing of syndication processes, financial products, and debt and capital markets.- Strong network of contacts within the investor community and a demonstrated ability for cultivating new relationships.- Exceptional leadership, team management and interpersonal skills.- Excellent collaboration and partnership skills.- Deep product knowledge and analytical mindset with he ability to make data-driven decisions and adapt strategies as needed.- Outstanding communication and presentation skills; capable of engaging with stakeholders at various levels.- Sound knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.Required Experience:- Bachelors Degree in Economics, Finance or other related discipline and 15 years of Syndications experience and at least 10 years of experience leading Syndication teams.- Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
