Practising Law Institute Helpdesk Systems Admin and Support (Tiers 1-3) in New York, New York

Join PLI and represent the legal community’s premier provider of continuing education and research services as a Helpdesk Systems Admin and Support (Tiers 1-3) in our New York office. Perform system administration activities related to PLI servers, workstations, mobile devices, Microsoft Office365 application and VoIP telecommunication software and applications.

Helpdesk administration including training other help desk technicians, assigning, resolving and following up on service tickets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs system administration activities related to VMware servers, Windows servers, Active Directory, print server, corporate workstations, laptops and mobile devices.

  • Troubleshoot and support end-user network operations, including VPN, office network, and office WIFI.

  • Troubleshoot and support MS Exchange online, MS Office 365 applications, Internet communication, endpoint securities and backup.

  • Maintains network and system operating system updates with appropriate patches, and service packs as necessary.

  • Helpdesk administration, including training other Helpdesk technicians, assign, resolve, and follow up with service tickets.

  • Troubleshoot and administration of VoIP phone systems and call center.

  • Documenting Helpdesk and Policies and procedures.

  • Participating in annual IT, and security audit.

  • Identify areas for improvement with regards to Help Desk workflows/processes and work with the Senior Manager, Help Desk and Director, Network Operations to strategize and implement improvements.

  • Ensure customer service is timely and accurately on daily basis.

  • Set specific customer service standards.

  • Follow up with customers to identify areas of improvement.

  • Provide regular reports on help desk team productivity.

  • Provide customer feedback to internal teams, including Product Management and Software Engineering.

  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, equivalent technical college degree, or sufficient years of industry experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in network administration. Strong skills in network administration, Telecom and Helpdesk.

  • Competent in all skills required for key responsibilities, including technical skills in:

  • Active Directory / M365 / Exchange Online

  • OS, patches and hardware – Win Server, Win 10, Print Server, Workstations & Laptops

  • Internet communication, endpoint security and backups

  • Voip phones, callcenter, mobile devices and tablets

  • Excellent oral and written skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to problem solve and think critically
