Responsibilities

The Housing and Community Solutions, Consultant should have knowledge of housing and community development programs, including but not limited to policy analysis, program design, financing, implementation , operations, grants management, equitable development, social impact evaluation, monitoring and compliance, and publicly available funding for housing and community development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1

    • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of one (1) years of experience working on local, state, or federal housing and community development projects

  • Experience in community development planning, housing policy, affordable housing

  • Knowledge of federal housing programs and funding

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to research, analyze and synthesize data in a meaningful way

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and communicate regularly with project leadership and client points of contact

  • Ability to work independently as required, with a strong commitment to team environment

  • Ability to meet project milestones and delivery schedules

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

    Preferred:

  • Experience with fair housing laws, eviction prevention, and/or foreclosure prevention programs

  • Experience working with marginalized populations

  • Experience developing tools, forms, and templates to support client’s adherence to applicable federal, state, and local regulations

  • Experience drafting documents, memos, letters, and other formal communications to clients

Additional Requirements

  • The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
