Legends Hospitality HR Associate, Part-Time - One World Observatory in New York, New York

Global Attractions is the newest business vertical and is quickly expanding. Starting with One World Observatory sitting high above Manhattan at the top of the tallest building in the Western hemisphere and now expanding all over the world, the Attractions vertical brings together all of Legends 360-degree capabilities to develop unparalleled experience in one awe-inspiring space, featuring some of the most spectacular views and newest technology around the world. For each location, we operate the tour experience, ticket sales, hospitality offerings, special events, and sponsorship - all to elevate the guest experience at the top. Some of the venues include One World Observatory in NYC, The View at the Shard in London, Sky View Observatory in Seattle, Illuminarium in Atlanta, and more!


Positioned at the top of One World Trade Center, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, on levels 100, 101, and 102 – One World Observatory provides guests with unique, panoramic views of New York City, its most iconic sites, and surrounding waters from 1,250 feet. A customized guest experience complements the seemingly endless views - which evoke feelings of the City’s signature pride, hope and determination - including special interactive experiences and dining options, plus a sit-down restaurant.

The HR Associate is responsible for executing the strategy and assisting with full employee lifecycle processes. He/she will partner with the operation’s leadership team to identify, onboard, coach, and develop industry-leading talent.


  • Assist HR Manager and HR Director with generating monthly reports, ADHOC,

  • Partner with operational managers and provide strategic advice on a wide variety of areas to maximize organizational effectiveness and performance

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with management and ensure HR strategies, processes and practices are implemented

  • Provide expert advice, counsel, and coaching to managers and employees (union and non-union) on all employee related issues such as, but not limited to: performance management, documentation, progressive discipline measures, career development, employee relations issues, policies and procedures, and all employment/labor laws

  • Proactively anticipate labor/employee relations issues and provide counsel to resolve them

  • Assist in the building of bench organization strength through the identification, recruitment, and development of top talent

  • Process weekly payroll and update records when employee’s status or rate changes

  • Co-facilitate trainings and orientation

  • Help execute hiring events as needed

Talent Management – Helps manage performance review process. Partner with business leads to ensure employees are aware of broader organizational, as well as individual priorities. Reinforce a constant, constructive feedback culture.

Staffing & Retention – Help to attract, select, onboard and retain a high performing, diverse workforce. Partner with HR Manager to ensure proper onboarding of all staff.


  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years' experience in HR Administration

  • Previous experience within HR Operations and Recruitment

  • Excellent communication skills; ability to influence others and make decisions quickly

  • Strong time management skills and highly organized

  • Excellent Management and social skills

  • Adaptable and intellectually curious

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Able to work independently and take initiative

  • Employee relations experience, including conducting investigations and resolving grievances

  • Outstanding leadership skills with a high capacity for managing multiple projects simultaneously, influencing and gaining credibility with all levels of employees, management, union representatives and clients

  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, business acumen, organizational savvy, and have sensitivity dealing with confidential information

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Previous experience with HRIS systems, including Ultipro, Workday, etc

  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job specific safety training

    This position has the potential towards Full-Time employment.
