Citigroup ICRM Risk and Control Training Manager – SVP in New York, New York

As part of the Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) Division, the ICRM Risk and Controls (R&C) group provides objective oversight of, and reports on, the ICRM control environment. Within the R&C group, the Framework team contributes to these oversight activities through a robust suite of risk and control focused policies and procedures (P&P), tailored trainings and resource materials. The Framework team is looking for a seasoned professional to develop and deliver engaging trainings and design intuitive resource materials in support of ICRM’s risk and control activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Framework P&P owners to develop tailored trainings and resource materials (e.g., quick reference cards, user guides, checklists, etc.), supporting the rollout of new or amended P&P. The trainings will vary in format, including on-demand / e-learning, in-person large audience, and team-specific targeted training.

  • Partner with the broader R&C team to identify risk and control related topics or skill gaps across ICRM requiring bespoke training or resource materials.

  • Engage the ICRM Training Team to develop large audience trainings (in-person and on-demand).

  • Ability to effectively deliver the trainings listed above.

  • Develop and maintain a SharePoint library of created trainings.

  • Identify and utilize Firm approved training and content design tools to produce engaging content.

  • Incorporate training delivery best practices from the industry and beyond.

  • Continuously assess R&C P&Ps to identify visualization enhancement opportunities.

  • Partner with the R&C Strategy, Insights and Operations team to identify reporting visualization enhancement opportunities


  • 10+ years designing and delivering various forms of training content.

  • 5+ years in a risk or control function (e.g., audit, compliance, risk management, etc.) designing relevant training content.

  • Significant experience designing trainings, including:

  • On-demand / e-learning trainings, including fluency in a content creation application (e.g., Captivate, Articulate, etc.).

  • In-person trainings using instructor lead PowerPoint presentations.

  • Proven track record of creating engaging training content.

  • Strong content visualization skills. Experience creating resources materials such as quick reference cards or user guides is highly preferred.

  • Senior management and/or board reporting visualization experience is a plus.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex subjects in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units; ability to navigate a complex organization; to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level.

  • Awareness of regulatory requirements including local and US laws, international and industry standards.

  • Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, and organized.


  • Bachelor’s degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; Advanced degree preferred
