About this role: We're looking for an experienced Innovation Manager to support strategy and execution for product launches and/or relaunches. You will participate in the full launch lifecycle - from gathering consumer data to ideating on product concepts, working cross-functionally to bring concepts to life, and supporting launches.

You will project manage multiple work streams and be a critical member of the innovation team. This position is highly strategic and cross-functional, giving you the opportunity to have a meaningful impact in driving growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Use data and analytics (both custom research and scrappy) to drive insights and identify market opportunities that align with our brand

  • Develop concepts that are vetted internally (finance, ops, marketing) and externally (clients) from ideation through feasibility

  • Identify partner brands to collaborate on innovations

  • Create holiday catalogue of innovation bundles that will delight our clients

  • Create 2-3 seasonal in-and-out innovations per year to build brand equity and drive newness

  • Understand client needs, wants and passion points

  • Maintain a solid understanding of the wellness space and trends

  • Critically analyze the success of new products

    Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience creating new things as a product innovation marketer, business operator, and/or member of an R&D team

  • A creative problem solver who thrives in ambiguity and has the ability to effectively collaborate

  • A multitasker with experience managing and motivating multiple stakeholders and dynamic timelines for a cross-functional team

  • An effective communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to break down complex concepts and collaborate with people at all levels and in various functions

  • A project manager with excellent organization skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, as well as a successful track record of hands-on management from concept through launch

  • A passionate voice for consumers with a strong understanding of customer needs and ability to translate these into product requirement (insights experience a plus)

  • Comfort working at a rapidly-evolving, product-driven company

  • Excitement for the latest trends in health, plant based food, western and eastern medicine

  • Passion for Sakara’s mission to transform people's lives through the power of food as medicine

    This position will be based out of our New York headquarters once we return to office (likely early 2022).
