We Are Brookfield Properties:

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office Division in New York, New York as Summer Interns. Our intern program lasts 10 weeks and includes many exciting training and development opportunities.

Brookfield Properties is hiring an Marketing Intern as part of the Arts and Culture team for summer 2024 in our New York office. The intern is responsible for working with the rest of the team to assist with promotional initiatives for the arts and cultural programming planned for a portfolio of New York properties.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation and execution of marketing plans, including strategies for social media, print and digital materials, timelines, post-event recaps and analysis.

  • Attend department marketing meetings and be an active participant in the development of campaign strategies and implementation.

  • Research potential opportunities, activations, trends, and partnerships to enhance event promotions.

  • Assist in the development of strategies to promote the growth of our brands’ digital presence in paid, earned and owned channels.

  • Proof and edit content for the web, press, social media, advertisements and other marketing materials.

  • Manage day-of event marketing tasks including preparing marketing materials, managing photographers/videographers and other vendors, managing signage installation and placement, live social media posting, and other duties as assigned.

  • Assist PR team in press and public relations initiatives.

  • Assist with the creation and editing of email marketing campaigns.

  • Plan out and schedule social media content for the @ArtsBrookfield social media platforms.

  • Research projects, as needed.

  • Support in the gathering of marketing statistics and KPIs for event reports.

  • Help in managing the Arts & Culture event photography database, organizing photos, pulling together collections, and uploading to Bynder.

  • Update property websites with event information using CMS platforms.

  • Organize marketing inventory at key properties and make sure inventory records are up to date.

  • Collect data and assist in surveys being conducted at NYC area properties, as needed.

  • Administrative tasks such as filing documents, proofreading, organizing files and managing inventory.

  • Work on a mutually agreed upon project and present it to a larger group at the end of the internship program.

Your Qualifications:

  • Working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in related major (Arts, Business, Arts Management, Marketing) with a minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Previous intern experience is preferred

  • Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills

  • Proficiency in PC skills; Advanced expert in using Microsoft Office

  • Proficiency in social media platforms including best practices for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok

  • Basic knowledge of website CMS platforms for HTML is helpful

  • Experience with email marketing platforms, such as Mailchimp, is a plus

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or other graphic design programs is helpful

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with many departments

  • Flexibility to work from different property locations within NYC, as appropriate

  • Individual must be detail oriented and able to work autonomously as part of a team

  • Thrives in a fast-paced office environment and can meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Passion for arts or cultural events

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Type: Non-exempt

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

Annual Base Salary Range: $25/Hour
