The Role:

Roc Nation, One of Live Nation’s joint ventures, is looking for a highly motivated, organized and enthusiastic individual, who is interested in learning more about the live entertainment and music industries. This internship will allow students to gain first-hand, experience in a variety of areas, including: marketing, record, and music publishing industries, grow your professional network.

Areas that you will be learning about as an Equity Distribution Intern:

  • What goes into music marketing including social media marketing, email marketing, creating artists one sheets and writing press releases

  • Understanding of the technical side of releasing music. What is needed and why?

  • How to manage/organize databases

  • Digital rights reporting

  • Record label structure, breakdown, and functions

  • Effective communication in a professional setting

  • Project management and music distribution

  • Plus much more!

Qualifications:

  • Must be a current student enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program at an accredited college or university

  • Must be eligible to receive academic credit from their college or university

  • Background in Business, Journalism, Media & Technology, Economics, Engineering, Pre-Law, Advertising, Marketing, Communications or other related academic discipline or work experience.

  • Interested in learning new music streaming (web) related technologies and software

  • Familiarity with Audio Streaming Platforms (Spotify, Tidal, Soundcloud, and Audiomack to name a few)

  • Interest in research surrounding the music entertainment world and its ongoing trends

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Drive (Calendar ,Docs & Sheets)

  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments within an appointed deadline

  • Familiarity with social networking sites (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Keynote/PowerPoint,

  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS,

  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator

This internship is available for the general summer or fall semester. This is a non-paid internship, with flexible hours (minimum of 16 hours per week) to reflect your necessary college credit requirements.
