KPMG is currently seeking an Intern to join our Ignition Tax (https://tax.kpmg.us/services/ignition-tax.html) team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementation of tax technology tools, including but not limited to ONESOURCE tax applications, Corptax, Longview, Microsoft (Excel models, Access databases and SharePoint)

  • Support team with a variety of tasks including process improvement, documentation, data collection/retrieval from source systems, data loading/normalization, testing for accuracy/completeness, analysis/reconciliation and reporting/communicating results

  • Help prepare documentation and analytical reports that effectively summarize and present procedures, assumptions and conclusions using Word, Visio, PowerPoint and other applications

  • Assist teams who work directly with clients and other resources to obtain relevant data and documents in formats consistent with project objectives and deadlines, review project deliverables and resolve project issues

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Accounting, Management, Accounting Information Systems, Business or Data Analytics, Information Science, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Actuarial or a related field from an accredited college/university

  • Upon completion of this internship candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements

  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above

  • Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking and problem solving skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

  • Excellent communication, time management, quantitative and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work

  • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future is preferred
