Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP IT Business Relationship Manager in New York, New York
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire an IT Business Relationship Manager to develop and maintain strong customer relationships with leaders of assigned client group and departments, serving as their concierge to the IT department.
Reporting to the Manager, IT Business Relationship Management, the IT Business Relationship Manager will help department leaders formulate and prioritize IT business needs, synthesizes and summarize information verbally and in writing to support technical and nontechnical group discussions, secure service owner approval and management prioritization, maintain end-to-end oversight of the projects for his/her departments, and own the department specific IT roadmap.
This position can reside in most US offices and offers a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Regular working hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Key responsibilities include:
Meets and communicates regularly with the management teams of assigned departments (status updates of projects, new technologies being implemented, suggestions for IT solutions, etc.)
Provides the business perspective of what the IT development roadmap should be and what features the solutions we provide should contain.
Articulates IT's services, capabilities and constraints and provides transparency into the IT project assessment, approval and staffing process.
Leads and guides business leaders in the analysis, evaluation, selection and implementation of technology and services.
Shapes corresponding business project and program needs into high-level technology proposals and presentations to secure approval and prioritization from management.
Experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and minimum 5 years' experience in IT solutions delivery, including disciplines such as coding, quality assurance, business requirements analysis, technology education, project management and user experience design.
Extensive knowledge of effective project management and product/service delivery.
