Journals Portfolio Coordinator

General Purpose of the Job
The job holder contributes to the success of the journals portfolio by ensuring that the publishing teams are able to efficiently draft and enter into legally safe journal contracts with external editors and publishing partners that protect the business but are also customized to the degree necessary; and by leading or contributing to the execution of cross-program projects and initiatives that support the publishing teams and contribute to the strategic goals of the journals group. Key responsibilities include customization, tracking, approval, and execution of contracts; liaising with Legal and Editorial Rights to contribute to the further development of contract templates and workflows in response to emerging business needs; and the development, tracking, and rollout of initiatives across partner journals in coordination with the publishing teams.
Responsibilities:
Support the publishing teams in the generation and, where required, customization of editor, society and other types of journal contracts
Contribute to the development of further contract templates and options, with an aim to address the business needs and streamline the process for colleagues
Lead or support the planning, implementation, or execution of projects as required
Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and other team members to contribute to a culture that is mutually supportive and serves the needs of our communities
Experience, skills and qualifications:
Experience with working with contracts and/or with working in a larger business is a plus, but we encourage applications from recent university graduates
Excellent communication skills, including oral and written presentation skills
Strong prioritization and time-management skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Enthusiastic and committed
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

Annualized Base Salary Range: $58,500 - $65,000. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education and skill level.
